Andrew returns in his very first hosting role to discuss one of his and Tobias' favorite comedy anime of all time, the now-classic series Azumanga Daioh! Bill comes along for the ride to give the non-superfan perspective. They discuss the series' origins, its impact on anime fandom of the early 00's, how it holds up and doesn't hold up, and whether or not Yotsuba& deserves an anime (hint: yes).
Note that we are releasing this episode towards the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak across the United States. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and have peace of mind during this time of fear and uncertainty across the globe. We'll get through it!
It does appear that conventions are going to be hit pretty hard with conventions both in Japan and in the US being cancelled every day. Check out our recent blog post on what you can do to help those who rely on the convention circuit for their livelihoods.

Makoto Shinkai's latest film Weathering With You was released in US theaters a few weeks ago! Tori, Austin, and Tobias share their thoughts on it and how it stacks up against Your Name., even though they felt bad about constantly comparing the two. It's hard not to, okay!!

To stave off the inevitable arrive of Thank-Christmas-giving, we're here to extend the Halloween season just a bit with our post-Halloween special on legends and yokai in the TV series Yamishibai. For those unaware, or if you didn't listen to last year's Halloween special, Yamishibai is an anime anthology series consisting of a bunch of spooky short stories.
